Our approach to reconciliation

Reconciliation Action Plan Development

We guide organisations through the process of co-creation and collaboration while developing culturally responsive RAPs that are tailored to your specific context and needs. Our approach is informed by Indigenous knowledges and practices, ensuring that all plans reflect the values and aspirations of Indigenous peoples and communities.

Community Co-Creation and Collaboration

Our process of mapping your organisation’s sphere of influence will allow you to move beyond standard stakeholder engagement and instead generate a model of co-creation and collaboration. We facilitate authentic relationships and dialogue between organisations and Indigenous communities. Our engagement strategies prioritise respect, transparency, and Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC), allowing for the co-creation of a culturally responsive RAP.

Cultural Responsiveness Workshops and Collaborations

Our workshops provide an opportunity for us to collaborate with organisations to (un)learn and (re)develop their knowledge, values and skills necessary to co-create and implement their RAP effectively. We offer guidance on social, political, historical and geographical elements to Reconciliation Australia’s five dements of reconciliation - Race Relations, Equality and Equity, Institutional Integrity, Unity and Historical Acceptance. We guide you through best practice for accountable leadership and fostering culturally safe and responsive organisations.

Ongoing Support, Evaluation and Reporting

Creating a RAP is just the beginning. We provide ongoing support to support organisations monitor progress, evaluate impact, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
